The School Bank program was established by Wayne County Bank in January 1996. The program was designed to help school-age youth learn the value and importance of saving money as well as offering a unique opportunity for students to deposit money into their personal savings accounts right at school.

 

Wayne County Bank School Bank is available to students in preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools in Wayne and Lewis Counties. Students who open and contribute to their school bank savings accounts enjoy special benefits -  spinning the Wheel of Savings to win free money to add to their savings accounts. They may also at times receive special prizes from stickers and pencils to gas cards and backpacks.

 

The children who take part in school banking are learning about the importance of saving money and are taught financial responsibility.  These lessons will benefit them the rest of their lives.  With School Bank, kids can watch their money grow!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Franks Hughes School - Bank employees are there every Wednesday while school is in session from 7:30 am until 8:30 am

 

Collinwood Elementary School- Bank employees are there every Wednesday from 7:30am-8am to take deposits. The Wheel of Savings is taken once per month. Kids can bring their perfect attendance certificates by the branch in Collinwood to receive a $10 deposit to their savings account.

 

Collinwood Middle School- Bank employees are there every Wednesday from 7:30am-8am to take deposits. The Wheel of Savings is taken once per month. Students can bring their perfect attendance certificates by the branch in Collinwood or to the school bank to receive a $10 deposit to their savings account. Also, students can earn $1 per A to their account.

 

Collinwood High School- Bank Employees are there every Wednesday from 7:30 am – 8:00 am. Students that make a deposit are entered into a monthly drawing for a $50 EE Savings Bond

 

Wayne County Elementary School- Employees take the Wheel of Savings every Wednesday morning that school is in session from 7:15 am until 8:00 am.

 

Wayne County Middle School- Employees take the Wheel of Savings every Tuesday morning that school is in session from 7:30am until 8:00 am

 

Lewis County Schools- Kids can bring their report cards into the Citizens Bank of Lewis County branch to spin the Wheel of Savings.
